Incredible Benefits of Community Health Centers

Colorado Community Health Network’s (CCHN’s) workforce team updated the Mission Driven Careers website to make recently posted jobs and blogs more accessible to job seekers and interested viewers.  Mission Driven Careers promotes the Colorado Community Health Centers (CHCs) model of integrated care, the incredible work happening at CHCs, and highlights careers for the eighteen CHCs located in urban, rural and frontier underserved locations throughout the state.

Colorado CHCs are non-profit or public comprehensive primary care providers with a mission to provide health care to low-income working families and individuals. Currently CHCs provide affordable health care options to more than 600,000 of their community members. CHCs are especially able to meet the needs of their communities because more than half their Boards of Directors’ members are patients and community members.

The work that CHCs do is important for the health of Colorado, CHC staff, patients, and communities. Valley-Wide Health Systems, among others, have incredible stories to share about why they are improving the health care of their patients, and not just through a doctor visit. CHCs are using innovative ways to help care for patients by using state of the art mobile health care vans, electronic health records, and team based models of care. CHCs provide integrated primary medical care, dental care, and behavioral health services to one in 10 people in Colorado. To learn more about the impact that CHCs have on their communities, please visit CCHN’s website.

Working for a CHC is a rewarding experience where staff make a difference.  If you are interested in joining a mission driven team at a Colorado CHC, check out the Mission Driven Careers Job Board or the CHAMPS Job Opportunities Bank.
