Corps Community Connection Event & Awards Ceremony

CCHN and other safety-net organizations are hosting a local Corps Community Day event on Oct. 11, 2012.  The purpose of Corps Community Day is to celebrate the clinicians who have promoted the importance of primary health care by working in clinics in rural and underserved communities in Colorado.

The Corps Community Connection event will be filled with inspiration, networking, and celebration. The event is targeted for: health partners; current and alum Colorado Health Service Corps (CHSC); and National Health Service Corps (NHSC) loan repayment clinicians; and health professions students interested in pursuing work in primary health care.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet fellow health service professionals, talk with students and job-seekers, celebrate NHSC and CHSC award recipients, and win prizes. Keynote speakers will be Dr. Virgilio Licona and CHSC clinician, Marnie Walsh. Click here for more information and to RSVP.

So far 115 Corps Community Day activities have been planned across the Nation. For more national Corps Community Day information, visit NHSC’s website and learn how to become involved.
