Some good news for primary care providers came out today — the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program application cycle is now open!
The NHSC program offers primary care providers in medical, dental, and mental/behavioral health fields the opportunity to have their student loans repaid while serving in communities with limited access to care. The great news is that all Community Health Centers (CHCs) in Colorado qualify as health professional shortage areas.
This is a great opportunity for primary care providers who are interested in working in underserved areas. No only do you have the opportunity to carve away at your student loan debt, but you get to work in great CHC workplaces.

- Cycle opens: February 7, 2013
- Application deadline: April 16, 2013
- Awards made: September 30, 2013
