Two New CHCs in Colorado join CCHN

Colorado Community Health Network (CCHN), the association of Community Health Centers (CHC) in Colorado, recently welcomed two new CHCs to the network. Olathe Community Clinic, Inc. and Sheridan Health Services have been newly designated as federally qualified health center (FQHC) grantees!

The Olathe Community Clinic is located in Olathe, on the western slope of Colorado in Montrose County. Although the single site was originally built as a school-based health center, it is a free-standing building and now provides comprehensive care to all ages. In addition to integrated medical care, it also offers mental health care and outreach to seasonal farmworkers. Among other job opportunities, Olathe is currently hiring for a Medical Director which you can read more about here.

Sheridan Health Services, with two sites, is located in the City of Sheridan and surrounding communities. Although the FQHC status is new, the original clinic began in 1995 as a nurse-managed health care clinic in the Sheridan School District. Now Sheridan Health Services offers a school-based health center and an all-ages clinic. Sheridan Health Services partnered with University of Colorado (CU) College of Nursing to apply for the grant. In addition to medical care, their partnership with the CU School of Dental Medicine also helps them run the CUSmileMaker Van, a mobile dental clinic at the school-based health center. You can learn more about Sheridan Health Services here, and find more about the open positions for RN Case Manager and Clinic Finance Manager, here.
